Karen Yuckert
I have been around horses most of my child hood life working at a Arabian horse ranch called Sweeting Arabians in Mountlake Terrace Washington.
I then purchased my first horse for $100.00 and kept it in Brier for the low cost of $75.00 a month. (wow have things changed)
I had a lot of friends that gamed and quickly developed a love for speed and all the different events.
I married Doug in 1991 and together we built Yuckert Ranch. Our herd consist of 8 horses 4 dogs about 24 chickens.
I then wanted to do more with animals from a medical stand point so I finished my boards to be a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2006. I have since incorporated Eastern medicine with the Western and find that they complement each other very well and the animals heal much faster.
We have 2 wonderful children Sarah and Brandy. We have our first grandchildren: Brandon and Andrew.
I still love the speed and love the diversity of the gaming, mounted shooting and barrel racing. But you will find me on occasion at a Hunter Jumper, English Flat show or on the Trail.
We have bred and raised 2 fillies at the Yuckert Ranch and I feel so blessed to spend every minute I can right here.

Doug Yuckert
Doug was introduced to riding when he was 16 yrs old and went on many high mountain hunting trips on horse back.
His love for riding continued through out his adult life.
Doug has worked as a crane operator for over 35 yrs. He takes great pride in his work, although stressful at times he gets to come home and relieve most of the days stress by climbing on the back of his horse Luna.
Luna and Doug have placed at various gaming clubs and barrel racing jackpots almost every weekend that he is available to attend.
When he is not working, Doug also likes to trail ride, hunt, fish and he really enjoys snowmobiling.

Brandy started riding at age 8 when she got her first horse "Star," an 8 year old Morgan, from Ellensburg, Washington. Together her and Star won multiple saddles and buckles as well as other prizes through different barrel and gaming clubs.
In 2004 the family purchased "Lana" as a 10 month old, from Ellensburg. Brandy and Lana have gone to compete in California for the Youth World Championships and came home with a championship saddle. Her and Lana have also won multiple barrel racing and gaming associations overall champion titles throughout their career together along with roping prize money.
Brandy participated in Running Start and ended up graduating from Bothell High School with her Associates in Business. She then attended Central Washington University and graduated in the spring of 2013 with her Bachelors in Business Management at age 20. While at Central, she was a member of the Rodeo Team and competed in barrels as well as breakaway roping. Brandy is now currently running "Lily", our first home raised filly and they are ones to watch for in the standings!
